Seventh Book!

No, the book will not be one I'm currently reading.

Our book this time shall be The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire! (Since none of you could comment what you've been reading and I hate Rick Riordan right now)
It's a very funny and random book, but it's worth reading. I am a Type Three Emo, so you should expect things like this from me. (Type Three Emo, fan of the Emo Trio, new or old, and a phan.)

Hello reader! In this book is a world. A world created by two awkward guys who share their lives on the internet! We are Dan and Phil and we invite you on a journey inside our minds!

It's a book from danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil! Very amazing indeed. A few of my friends and I have even started looking for more proof that Phan is real!

(though I respect their privacy if it isn't.)

DON'T EVEN ASK ME WHY NATHAN ISN'T POSTING I'M SO ANGRY AT HIM RIGHT NOW

bye

Sixth Book

Hello beauties and gentlebeauties!

Our sixth book is from our own author, Nathan.

I recently read a good young adult fiction novel with a main character that kinda reminds me of me.The book is called Mindblind by Jennifer Rozines Roy. give it 4.9/5!!! #DVT

Okay, Nathan. But what's with that .1? Did the book not deserve it? Okay, but this book is pretty recent and looks pretty decent. (that rhymed haha) Oh, and I really wonder what that hashtag must stand for. (obvious sarcasm is obvious)

 BUT CLARE! WHAT'S THE SU-

It's my birthday on Tuesday! I'ma have a great time and on Friday, national emo day to most, I will show everyone tons of books you should read! And also, on instagram when I said I didn't ship Caleo there were so many responses in the comments on other photos. (Cause I'm not famous at all haha)

 "LET MY CHILD HAVE LOVE"
Like come on I'm just giving an opinion calm your wheat bread

But yeah follow me @highbookshelves and on wattpad @wannagotoheaven!

Well, I'm going to LA soon for Wizarding World of Harry Potter! Remember, chess on Sundays, Quidditch Practice on Fridays, and farewell.

Book Rants: Bad Ships

Oh god I'm gonna get so much hate..

I hate Caleo. Which Nathan knows, (idk why he isn't posting) because of many reasons.

CALYPSO WAS SHOWN TO STILL LIKE PERCY! She hated him, I hate this ship. The relationship was really rushed, which disappoints me. Their personalities were slightly changed JUST so they could be together. That brings up another point.

CALYPSO HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SERIES BEFORE THIS. Literally, she was just brought back so Leo could have a love interest. Rick, you don't need a lover to be happy! That's not a very great message! Geez, I wanted to kill Rick for this. Leo was actually pretty mature, which really annoyed me. HE should be annoying. And Calypso just turned into an overused sassy girl.

PlEaSE RiCk bReAk ThEm uP In ToA

I just really hate this ship! I think it's actually the worst thing Rick's ever written, like he was under pressure and made this ship knowing it would fail anyway. "BUT CLARE!" you say. "THEY LOOK S-"

Tsch tsch tsch, reader. They do not look very cute together either. Even though Leo is my favorite character and my senpai  he sacrificed himself, and I wanted it to end at that. But noo he had to meet Calypso.

This angers me so much I'm not even going to say farewell.

Bye.

*disappears in fire*

no but leo is hot both literally and figuratively the bad boy supreme wow such cute but he can summon fire he's my little smol cinnamon roll my son then again that makes me want to marry my child but

Fifth Book!

Really guys? You must be shy...
It is I, the grrreat Papyrus to bring you more good books!

Nobody requested a book, but my buddies and I got a book we really think is cheesy....

Yes, you are seeing that image correctly. Macarons at Midnight. My friends were picking out a book and we found this one. Yep. Thanks, Alan. Oh, and what's this on the back?

When Lise Santos stumbles into a bakery’s midnight taste test, she meets a super cute boy. He’s as sweet as the macarons they share, and Lise is totally smitten. She’s pretty sure he is, too—but they never get the chance to exchange names. Now Lise has to find him again.
When Lise finally discovers who her mystery guy is, he’s not anything like she expected- ans suddenly they don't get along anymore!. Things get even more complicated when her friend Viv  starts to express interest in him. Now Lise's head and heart are all in a jumble. Can she gather the courage to admit her true feelings ... or is this a recipe for disaster?

Wow. That summary.. Wait, why's that second macaron all squished? Come on! No, but this is just so cheesy that you'll laugh at all parts. It's even better when you read it in an annoying tween girl voice. And what's this?! A typo?!

"Breakings news.."

Nope nope this is covered in cheese. I'm lactose intolerant as well.

Hey, you wanna hear a part from it? Here ya go.

Me: Breakings news. LISE SANTOS HEADS FOR SOCIAL SUICIDE
Simone: LOL. Quit headlining. Ur not trying hard enuf
Me: EZ 4 U 2 say. Ur eating ice cream & watching vampire romance right now.
Simone: Its chocolate & zombies. Miss U
Me: U 2

U2? Like the band? I'm not even emphasizing this part, page 11 go get the book.

This author, Suzanne Nelson, has also made two other books called  Cake Pop Crush  and You're Bacon Me Crazy. Oh, and on You're Bacon Me Crazy, There are two pieces of bacon shaped in a heart. A HEART! I would still eat that though..

Okay, this book doesn't get a 5.5 stars from me. With the actual story being taken seriously, I'd give it a 2.5/5. But with the humor, I'll give it a tip and make it 3.5/5. But that's the most I'll give!

Go ahead and read this book, you'll get a big laugh out of it. I don't really know what the author was aiming for because I gave it to my 8 year old cousin and even SHE didn't like it. Was she aiming for 45-year-old parents who wanted to keep up with the times, I'll never know.

Oh, and is it just me or are all the other blogs on blogger abandoned? Just click next blog, there's probably going to be a blog that hasn't been updated since 2010.

PROTIP

(hahaha phan)

PROTIP: Listen to Undertale Piano covers while reading books. It'll speed you up. Otherwise, emo-trio, twenty one pilots, Oh Wonder, Halsey, Melanie Martinez, and Troye Sivan are your best tip.

..and mama's good eats oh wonder on repeat so much history in my head the people I've left the ones that I've kept

Thank you guys for enjoying this post and surviving through that april fool's joke! Remember, chess on Sundays, Quidditch Practice on Fridays, and farewell.

Book Rants: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

The Sorcerer's Stone definitely deserved its name. Philosopher's? NOPE! It's just not magical! Doesn't take place in the 'magical' world of Harry Potter! Why did it have to be that in the first place? LOL! So sad sorcerer's is only in america :(((

Book Rants: The Cursed Child

Well hello friends!

Most of you might already know, but the book club's favorite person, J.K. Rowling, has made a play to follow up the Harry Potter series.

Now, most of you might be screaming and fangirling over all of this, but then there's me. Yes, I have to ruin everything with my rants. Please don't be mad at me..

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child.

No, it is not a prequel.

But I don't even understand the point in this sequel! Yes, I still love Jo. No, I am not watching this play or getting the book. That's right, she put parts one and two into a book and is selling it. Okay Jo, you're milking it now.

I was happy when I closed Deathly Hallows. I applauded when Deathly Hallows Part II ended. Tears were running down my face that day because I couldn't believe what I've been reading for a year and a half (I started a bit late) was over. And I was satisfied! But now, she's released it 19 years after the Harry Potter timeline finished. C'mon! Sans would be angry at you jumping timelines!

(that's the wrong fandom)

Right, voice inside my head! Jo, don't milk it. Seriously, don't milk it. You've already had your last movie split into two parts having me WAIT. You know who else did that? Twilight! You know someone else who did the same? Mockingjay!

Now, my opinion is that those two were both boring movies. But Deathly Hallows is not a boring movie! It is an amazing movie that had me throwing my popcorn everywhere! We don't need a follow up!

Today's question of the day: Would you want to watch Cursed Child?

Chess on Sunday, Quidditch Practice on Friday, and farewell.

New Author!

(cough remember that guy who had that book about organisms yeah this is him)

Now, internoots prepare yourself for Trump-hating Gravity-Falls-Loving cares-way-too-much-about-his eggs.... NATHAN TRAN!!!
DON'T VOTE FOR TRUMP

Woah, Nathan you want to make a good impression on them, right?

... (silence)

Well, this is the guy who did advertise the words Don't Vote For Trump on a piece of cardboard. Well, he's here and you can't escape him. I'm hoping to get more authors on this blog and have posts almost everyday! Stay tuned! Nathan, what series- Oh no.. oh my.................................... he's advertising again, isn't he?

Welp, he's gonna have a bad time. Remember guys, chess on Sunday, Quidditch practice on Friday, and farewell.

*a hurricane of Don't Vote for Trump cardboard pieces slam into Clare's face*

Nathan!

What? I'm just proving my point! Kids, DON'T VOTE FOR-

Let me try this again.. yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah and farewell.

*disappears in a bunch of pink sticky notes*

Why does she get a fancy outro? I  can do that!

*Falls into a pile of Don't Vote for Trump cardboard pieces*

I'm working on it!

Book Rants: Boredom

Well hello friends!

It is I, the great Pap- I mean.. The great Clare to bring you something new! A new series so you won't have to wait as long for a new post! Rants. About books.

Now, you might be like, "Clare! But books are perfect!"

Not all of them. There are parts in books where there's no real action, it's just characters talking and talking and talking...

Until you just stop actually processing the words and just skim over them and don't actually take in the story, not like anything's happening in it.

For example: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. This book got a 4/5 from Goodreads, however it did not do so well with me.

I'll get a lot of hate for this won't I..

Don't worry, I tried to make this as spoiler free as possible.

The Hunger Games and Catching Fire were breathtaking, exciting, fast paced! But the last installment, the Hunger Games book without the actual Hunger Games? Not a great one. Just talking and Katniss calling for Peeta. I read it and barely got anything! Just talking, and sadness from certain people.

Another book that kinda bored me: Detectives in Togas by Henry Winterfield. Now, this book did not get a great score on Goodreads. 3.9/5! That's such a big difference! This book also got a 4.3 from Barnes and Noble and a 3.5 from Google Books.

(there's a google books?! they didn't even give it a good rating, and i didnt know they existed. wow.)

This book was clever and funny at some parts, but just plain meh on others! This book isn't black and white like how I'll talk about other books. It's both good and bad. You know some books that don't bore you? The Fault in our Stars! Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! Even Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian! Those books do great jobs at not boring you by giving you things to laugh at, things to cry at, things to make you at the edge of your seat- or bed if you read on the bed like me. The Fault in our Stars has comedy and sassiness! The tasks in the Triwizard Tournament have you rooting for a side! Spoilers ahead if you haven't read The Last Olympian, the sadness you feel when you realize May's going to make food every day for a child who'll never come back.

Yeah, go ahead Rick. Slice out my heart, won't you?

Today, I'll give you a question of the day. What book bored you the most?

But yeah, hope you like this new series. Remember, Chess on Sundays, Quidditch Practice on Fridays, and farewell.

*disappears in a bunch of photoshopped photos of Leafy in a toga*

Second, Third, and Fourth Book!

Well hello friends!

You might notice the title says that I will be telling you three books, and that is because I haven't posted in 25 days and two special friends gave books they had on the previous post!

By Nathan Tran:
I recently read this good book called The Carpet People.By Terry Pratchett. It's like a Philosophy book about the micro organisms in a carpet.Don't worry, the main characters are humans.

Sounds like a great one! An old one too.. published in 1971, unlike the previous which was published last year. Also, seems you have an IQ of 129.

I also have another special friend who has told their book, Alan! Tell me Alan, what book are you reading?
*looks at Alan's comment*
Wow.. I'm not sure if I should put a spoiler warning on that one! Just in case, you are now entering spoiler territory for Wolf of the Beyond: Lone Wolf. But yeah, try not to put spoilers in your recommendations unless it's a really known one like Sirius Black was innocent or something.

Alan:
Well hello! I just finished my book called Wolf of the Beyond:Lone Wolf, Written by Kathryn Lasky. It's about a wolf that had a twisted paw. He was abandoned just because he was cursed. When the wolf saw a grizzly passing by, he held on to her leg and beg for mercy. After that, the grizzly known as Thunderheart, gave the he-wolf a name, which is Faolan.

Sounds like a great one! According to the Wolves of the Beyond wiki, there are many spoilers on the page for Lone Wolf! This is also a fairly recent book which was released New Year's Day '10! It's also the first book in the series.

Welp, I need to cover up for three weeks of absence, don't I? I'll just tell you guys the book I just finished because of sheer laziness.

My book is The Gracekeepers by Kirsty Logan. It's a fantasy like book where the entire world is basically flooded and everyone travels in boats but there's still tiny pieces of land and people live there but it's expensive.. I'm rambling again aren't I? It's a beautiful book, it's very recent, and it has an amazing cover.

In unrelated news, I just now heard about the Magnus Chase series. Well, I knew it existed but I didn't really know the author or the plot. The author is Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackson series and the Heroes of Olympus series. This guy really likes mythology. This series is about Norse mythology, and I'm not going to step into that abyss until I'm done with the Heroes of Olympus series. And as you could assume, yes he is related to Annabeth Chase.

So, if you guys could, add in your own books like Alan and Nathan did! This'll make it so you guys can participate and share your books instead of me just stating my own. It makes me sound self absorbed to just talk about myself. But, if you guys are just too shy, I'll add in my own.

Thank you for reading this weekly meeting! I have a new series, called Book Rants! If you're interested, you can check that out, it'll be posted soon! Remember, Chess on Sundays, Quidditch Practice on Fridays, and farewell.
